Last updated: June 2026
SUGARED + BRONZED (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your consumer health data. This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect health data in accordance with applicable state laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act and other applicable regulations.
1. What is consumer health data?
“Consumer health data” means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a consumer and that a regulated entity uses to identify a consumer's past, present, or future physical or mental health status. This may include, but is not limited to:
-
Individual health conditions, treatment, diseases, or diagnoses
-
Social, psychological, behavioral, and medical interventions
-
Health-related surgeries or procedures
-
Use or purchase of prescribed medication
-
Bodily functions, vital signs, symptoms, or measurements
-
Reproductive or sexual health information
-
Gender-affirming care information
-
Precise location information that could indicate a consumer's attempt to acquire health services or supplies
2. What consumer health data we collect
We provide sugaring (hair removal) and spray-tanning services and sell related products. To deliver these services safely, we collect the following categories of consumer health data, primarily through our client intake forms and consultations:
-
Skin condition information — such as sensitivities, irritation, acne, eczema, psoriasis, or recent sunburn relevant to your service.
-
Allergy and sensitivity information — such as reactions to wax or sugaring ingredients, skincare products, or latex.
-
Medication information — medications you are taking that may affect your skin or the safety of a service (for example, retinoids, isotretinoin, antibiotics, or blood thinners).
-
Pregnancy status — where you choose to share it so we can perform your service safely.
-
Recent procedures — recent cosmetic, dermatological, or medical procedures that may affect your service.
-
Service records — information about the specific services you receive from us, which may reveal health-related status.
3. How we use consumer health data
We use consumer health data only for the following purposes:
-
To determine whether a sugaring or spray-tanning service is safe and appropriate for you, including identifying contraindications;
-
To customize and safely perform your service, and to recommend products or aftercare suited to your skin and needs;
-
To maintain accurate service and treatment records;
-
To respond to your questions and provide service and aftercare guidance; and
-
To comply with our health, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use consumer health data for marketing or targeted advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or audiences.
4. How we share consumer health data
We do not sell consumer health data. We may share consumer health data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
-
With service providers who host our booking, scheduling, and records systems and otherwise help us operate our business, under contracts that prohibit them from using it for any purpose other than providing services to us;
-
When required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our clients and staff; and
-
With your explicit consent.
We do not share consumer health data with advertising partners (such as Google or Meta) and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use geofencing around any location to collect consumer health data or to identify, track, or send advertisements to consumers seeking health services. We will not sell consumer health data, and would not do so without first obtaining the valid, written authorization that the law requires.
5. Your rights regarding consumer health data
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights with respect to your consumer health data:
-
Right to access and confirm: You may confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, and request a copy of the consumer health data we hold about you.
-
Right to deletion: You may request that we delete your consumer health data. Where required, we will also direct our service providers to delete it, subject to limited legal exceptions.
-
Right to withdraw consent: Where we process your health data based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
-
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
